Our Story

How it began

The adventure began in 2005, when Uncle Zé decided to make the most of Tambor by bringing together two concepts: the rural and leisure. Thus was born the Milharinto — a giant maze in a corn field — which became the trademark of the Tambor project.

At the same time, making use of an established meadow, came the first rustic golf course in Portugal. From then on, it never stopped: there were country-style weddings, Halloween parties, carved-pumpkin contests and much more. All of it with Mariazinha at his side, a woman of action and good taste — together they created what today, twenty years on, still surprises and delights everyone who visits Tambor.

The new chapter

Nature is renewal, balance and life. We have learned that lesson, and so here we are — with a new challenge and new activities, the same joy, and now a purpose: to give our grandchildren the same enchantment that so many children have experienced here at Tambor.
